Frequently Asked Questions
➡What happened to First Data?
Due to some changes in their certification requirements, it is no longer possible for us to offer connectivity to their gateway. If they decide to change their policy in the future we may offer that connectivity again.
➡Are you going to be offering a windows version?
The short answer is no. We are 100% committed to the OS X platform and have no intentions of offering seSales on any other operating system.
➡Do you plan on offering a report that shows xxx in the near future?
The answer to that question is -- probably. seSales is 100% customer driven and there is a fair chance that the report you are looking for is already in the queue to be added. However, to be 100% certain that the report you need is available in the next release, please send an email to support@zarrastudios.com with the details of the report.
➡Do you plan on offering connectivity to any other payment gateways?
We are constantly searching for other payment gateways to use with seSales. If you have a gateway you want to use, please feel free to contact us about it to discuss it. However, based on their requirements, it may not be possible to offer that connectivity.
➡My taxes do not match. Is seSales doing something wrong?
seSales calculates the taxes on a per item and per tax basis. seSales also rounds at the tax/item level. What this means is that a lump sum calculation of the taxes may not match what seSales calculates. For example:
Item Price: $8.60
City Tax (1.8%) = $0.1548 rounded to $0.15
State Tax (6.3%) = $0.5418 rounded to $0.54
Total Tax: $0.69
However, if you were to calculate the taxes as one lump sum ($8.60 * 8.1%) you would see a tax of $0.70 instead of $0.69. The reason for this is that when you calculate the taxes together, the calculate will add the full non-rounded numbers together and then round them afterwards. As you can see above, it is the 1/1000th place that causes the additional penny increase in tax.
